What Should You Buy, A Console or PC?
This question is really hard to answer unless you are a PC or console fanboy. PC vs console, I have been asking myself for a long time ago, if I have money what should I buy? If I build a gaming PC, at least I can use it not only for gaming and I can upgrade it. On the other hand, the console is portable and pretty much plug and play or even you can play anywhere now with Nintendo Switch for example. It is a tough question for some people, I will share things that you have to consider before buying one of those.
What is the purpose?
I think the most basic question is what is your purpose? If you already have a PC to work on and just want to play games, maybe the console is for you. You do not have to think about the specification, how to build it, and what component to choose. On the other hand, if you are going to use it not only to play games maybe a PC is for you. So first, you have to think about the purpose of why are you going to buy either a PC or console.
What games do you want to play?
If you only want to play esport games such as League of Legend, Dota 2 and CS Go then you have to buy a PC since those games are only for PC. Most of the games are available for both PC and console, but if you only want to play the esport game then PC is your choice. Also, you can compare which platform is selling cheaper games, discounts, and have varied games. In this way, you can save some money.
How much money do you have?
Money is usually the issue for everything. Let’s say you only want to play esport games or you do not mind to play the game on lower resolution and graphics quality. PC offers you a freedom, you can build your own PC according to the money that you have. On the other hand, you can not choose the part inside the console which means you have to buy everything. If you have $300 for example, you may be able to build a PC with that amount of money. However, if the console cost is $400 you definitely can not afford to buy it.
Console is really simple and easy to bring anywhere. I think that is the good thing about the console, you can plug it in at the living room to play together or bring it to your cousin house. On the other hand, the PC is a little bit complicated and not portable. If you are looking for something portable, a console is the way to go. Nintendo Switch for example, now you can play anywhere with a powerful device with just a small device.
In the end, the choice is depend on your need. I would prefer to build a PC because I do not have one so I can use it to work as well. After that maybe I will consider buying Nintendo Switch because it is really portable and small so that I can bring it anywhere. With the PC you have the freedom to choose the parts and adjust with your money. Meanwhile, the console gives you simplicity and portable. PC might be more powerful in regards to the FPS and graphics performance, because sometimes on the console the FPS is locked. On the other hand, the console is simple to use. If you buy a game, it would be running perfectly so you do not need to worry if it’s compatible or not. So, which one will you buy? PC or console?
